UAB player penalized after stomping on Tennessee kicker's foot
UAB safety Sirad Bryant wasn’t nearly as sneaky as he thought he was going to be.
Bryant was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the first half of the Blazers’ game at Tennessee on Saturday after he stepped on the foot of Tennessee kicker Max Gilbert following an extra point.
Take a look at the video below. Bryant goes out of his way to get near Gilbert and, well, you can see what happens from there.
Tennessee kicker Max Gilbert just got stomped on by a UAB player.

It wasn’t exactly the smartest idea to begin with. And even less so considering an official was just feet away and clearly saw what happened. Simply put, what Bryant did was inexplicable, even if your team is up two scores and not trailing by two possessions.
The penalty came late in the first quarter after Tennessee took a 14-0 lead. The Blazers punted on their ensuing possession as Tennessee scored touchdowns on six of its first seven drives of the game.
UAB entered the game as a 39.5-point underdog and played like one for much of the first half. Tennessee QB Joey Aguilar's day was over early after he was 15-of-22 passing for 218 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.
